Moderator Application Writing Guide

When applying to become a moderator on ComboPvP Club, there are a few pointers you should know about before submitting your application. It is highly suggested that you thoroughly read through this guide before submitting your application.

What do we look for in an application?
Part of being staff on ComboPvP Club is having a very high level of professionalism and enthusiasm. We expect to see professionalism and enthusiasm in your application too. We also encourage you to add personality to your application, so we can gain a better understanding of the person who wrote it.

Ensure your application is well presented and formatted!
When we read applications, the first thing we notice is the presentation. Here are a few tips on how to present your application:

  • Avoid using excessive colours, special fonts, etc.
  • Avoid using emojis, memes, etc.
  • Ensure your application spelling is correct. (Note: You can use Grammarly to assist)
We are not telling you not to be creative in your application, just don't overdo it.

Make your application unique
When writing your application, try to make it reflect who you are as a person. Make yourself stand out from other applicants. Anyone can submit an application, but it takes personal creativity to make that application unique.

Be honest in your application
Part of submitting a good application is being honest. We don't just want to hear what you want us to hear, we want to hear it all. The good, the bad, and the ugly. Don't hide or lie about your infractions, as we always check all applications. If you lie in your application, you will be instantly denied, no exceptions! If you are applying for staff and you are clearly passionate about the server, don’t focus so much on trying to say the right thing. Instead, focus on your passion for being staff and that will show your true potential.
